Mascaras for me are one of the most amazing cosmetic products ever invented in this planet I love how it makes your eyes soo dramatic giving it that “oomph”. On the other hand, it can also be a nightmare and give you a raccoon look if you buy the wrong one.
Today I’m going to review CoverGirl LashBlast Waterproof Mascara. It’s been six months for my old Maybelline one so I thought I’d try a new one. What a better way than to check out a mascara that’s so raved about online!
CoverGirl markets this mascara as volumizing – I would have given this a 9.0 if they lived up to their claim. However, I honestly didn’t find it to be significantly volumizing but it lengthens the lashes quite well (Note that I apply my mascara vertically as a lengthening application technique ). It also does a fantastic job of separating the lashes instead of other annoying mascaras I’ve worked with that makes the lashes clumpy.
The consistency of this mascara is not as liquidy. It’s rather creamy but with a decent drying time.
Here’s what it looks like in the packaging. I got the mascara in color black.
I believe this is one of the few mascaras that has the wand applicators made out of plastic instead
of synthetic hair. What’s a bit bothersome is the fat applicator that makes it challenging to get into
the inner corners of the eyelashes.
The photo on the left shows my bare lashes while the photo on the right shows my lashes with
mascara. Love how it opens up my eyes
Orange is not really a classy color for me but I can live with that I’m not into the shape as well since it’s kinda bulky in the middle. The thing that I like about the packaging is the cap that’s protecting the tube when not yet opened.
I bought this locally for P575. Great price for the quality of the product you get
The staying power is great. I’ve started using this on my clients and I can see how long it can hold up the curl and stay put for long hours. It also doesn’t smudge which is one of the key things anyone should look for in a mascara.
Overall, this one is a keeper and I can see myself using it for a long time.
Here’s my score board:
Hope you find this useful and thanks for dropping by
