MAC sable is one of the versatile eyeshadows I have in my collection. It works pretty much on anyone and can be paired with any outfit in my opinion.
According to MAC, it’s a golden-plum color with bronze pearl and a velvet texture which I completely agree. I’d like to add that it has a frost finish as well causing an iridescent shine of bronze pearl when reflected in light. This gives sable a dimensional look even when used alone as shown in one of the photos below. For application, it’s glides on smoothly and effortless to blend. Highly pigmented just like other MAC eyeshadows and has hardly any fall out.
On my entire eyelids, I used MAC Sable eyeshadow alone then a black eyeshadow as liner. I just simple adore it!
I got mine in the pro palette refill pan so I can add it to my existing customized eyeshadow palette. It also cost $5 less than the individual pot. By the way, I recently dropped my eyeshadow palette like I dropped my heart to the floor. I was so happy this didn’t even crack one bit. That speaks a lot about high quality packaging
MAC has always been more expensive in my country so I ordered online from MAC in the US and got the pro palette refill pan for $10.00 instead of the one that come in the individual eyeshadow pot for $15.00.
Absolutely amazing staying power! I always use a primer underneath my eye makeup so I can’t really attest to it’s longevity without one but I’ve heard it stays put the entire day regardless.
Here’s my score board:
